STEP 1. GATHERING YOUR SPRITES
---------------------------------
The first step to gathering your sprites is Googling "Spriter's Resources" and clicking the first option.
On the home page you should see a bar to the right that gives you options for a system
You want to use both DS and Gameboy Advance
Once in one of these options, it will tell you to pick a letter above. This is for the title of the game. Pick "P"
Once you scroll down you should see Pokemon Mystery Dungeon. Pick whatever and you'll get a table full of Pokemon, Backgrounds, and Extra Sprites.
FOR GATHERING POKEMON SPRITES
------------------------------
Click on a pokemon and it should open it up as a picture. DO NOT DOWNLOAD!!!! Now you will use your snipping tool
Make a square or rectangle around all of the sprites for 1 pokemon, if it has evolutions make separate files for them.
Left click over the picture in snipping tool and hit Copy. \
OPEN MS PAINT NOW!!!
Go to paste and paste, the picture should show up. Hit white so both color boxes are white. Use the "filler" tool, dipping paint bucket, and make the background for the sprites white.
Zoom in 500 and check over each sprite to make sure there are no more green spaces. If there are, fill them in white.
Zoom back out and click file then save as. SAVE AS A PNG FILE NOT JPEG FOR SPRITES
Now you repeat for every Pokemon you gather as sprites
GATHERING BACKGROUND
---------------------
For certain background you will need to save as PNG for others just save as JPeg.
How do you tell? If the backgrounds have a gathering of little strips of say, the ocean than this will be PNG
If the background is solid it will be JPEG
Just use snipping tool to gather the background and save directly from that as either a PNG or JPEG
POKEMON PORTRAITS
------------------
These are the easiest to gather but you need 2 more things to have the actual gaming effect which are the text boxes and portrait frames
For the frames and text boxes go to the Gameboy Advance section under P and hit Mystery Dungeon. Scroll down to find text then use snipping tool to gather your frames. LEft click and copy into an empty PAINT file then make the background white. Ignore the messed up text. Save to a PNG
For the frames simply search in the Pokemon portraits and they should be at the bottom. Use the same steps as the text boxes.
Use snipping tool for pokemon head-shot Portraits and save to a JPEG
